Dove Patch - What is Beauty?

Beauty is a state of mind. That is what Dove says. It is a state of mind, yes, it is how you "Mold" that thought. You can feel beautiful with or without makeup, in your pajamas or in an evening dress. There is no limit. Just be YOU, inside and out, and stay positive.
THAT is Beauty.

In the recent social media meetup Dove discussed how women really think about them selves. majority are in conflict with the way they look and feel. According to a first-of-its-kind social experiment conducted by Dove revealed that an alarming 80% of women feel hesitant to share the way they look, the study highlights how the right state of mind can unlock the powerful feeling of beauty that lives inside majority of women. I am quite comfortable in my own skin and can't relate to that majority but I do pity them. The results are documented in the short film Dove: Patches on dove.pk/patches or you can also review it here:

The Video was revealed globally in 58 countries including Pakistan. At the launch event held at Verde Bistro Cafe to illustrate the Social Experiment, notable bloggers and influencers were invited among successful women who encapsulate the terms ‘beauty’ and ‘strength’. I am glad I was part of it this.




A lot of people didn't understand the message Dove wanted to give. They thought "Why would dove tell us you don't need the product to feel beautiful and then try to sell us the product?" well yes, that is EXACTLY the point. We don't need to buy a beauty product to feel or look beautiful only. Dove encourages us to buy their products because of its benefits not because it will "definitely make us look beautiful" which sadly a lot of brands and products say to their consumers.

Consumers use the dove bar as it is gentle on our skin and has many qualities (ph balanced being one of them). The same goes for the rest of the Dove range. They always talk about the benefit of the product in REAL. That being said, the video say everything and so does most of their campaigns which have actually won awards and for good reason too.

I agreed with what Maha Kazmi, a talented singer, said after watching the above video, “In all fairness, we wear ourselves insides out. As much as we try to conceal what we are inside, others will perceive it. It is absolutely necessary that we truly believe that we are beautiful in order to be beautiful.”




What you want to use as a beauty product is your choice but its nice to know some brands are honest about what they are selling :) The Digital PR event was managed by Creative Chaos and the on ground activation by Bulls Eye 360.

P.s: Red Lipstick does make me feel beautiful and no its not because of any insecurities or no self confidence. I just LOVE red Lisps, that's all :D
